The summer roster at Brive airport in south-west France is to be expanded next year, with two new services launching.

French aviation company Chalair will link the Corrèze airport to Strasbourg and Geneva (Switzerland) in July and August 2026.

Exact scheduling information, including the number of flights, will be made available in the coming weeks.

Once official announcements have been made, tickets will be available through the Chalair and Brive airport websites.

Chalair is the main airline running out of Brive, responsible for several services including a year-round route to Paris.

The airline will use an ATR72 aircraft for the routes, which are significantly smaller (68 to 70 seats) than aircraft used by low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and easyJet.

However, the flights will be short, lasting around an hour.

“These new routes confirm the vitality of our airport and the relevance of the strategy implemented over several years to strengthen regional connectivity,†said airport president Julien Bounie, quoted in local media Actu.

“We are pleased to continue our development in Brive. These new destinations reflect our commitment to providing convenient, efficient, and market-friendly regional service,†said president of Chalair Alain Battisti.

Ryanair yet to confirm return to Brive

Brive was impacted by low-cost carrier Ryanair’s axing of winter routes in France, seeing a service to London Stansted cancelled as the airline pulled out of the airport citing increased airline taxes as the reason.

Despite the airline announcing part of its 2026 summer schedule, the Brive-London Stansted service has not been listed on its website for next year, nor has the only other previously scheduled route from the airport towards Porto (Portugal).
