Toulouse Metro to get full 4G coverage within a month
Following €10m investment, Rose City will be the first in France with full mobile coverage on its underground lines and stations
Advertisment
After almost a year of delays, Toulouse will become the first city in France to offer full 4G mobile coverage on all its underground lines and stations.
The service will go live on November 10, mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc announced at a French Tech Toulouse meeting, after an agreement was signed between Toulouse Métropole and the four mobile phone operators.
A total €10million has been invested setting up the 4G operation, shared between Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues and Zefil, the digital network of Toulouse Métropole.
Until now, mobile coverage in Toulouse's underground network has been the worst of all public Metro systems in France.
