Pamela Anderson now permanent Marseille resident
The residents of Marseille have a new famous neighbour, as former model and actress Pamela Anderson and her footballing partner are said to have moved in permanently.

Anderson, and her partner Adil Rami - defender in the Olympique de Marseille (OM) football team - are said to have moved in to an undisclosed house in the Corniche-Kennedy area of the city, near the Prado beaches; an area previously frequented by President Emmanuel Macron, comedian and presenter Laurent Ruquier, and singer Jean-Jacques Goldman.
The couple - who are thought to have met in July 2017 - their Marseille home, after months of speculation over their relationship, and whether they had arrived in France permanently.
It is not known how often the actress - who is originally Canadian and now holds joint US and Canadian citizenship - will be in the city, but it will be relatively frequently, given Rami’s long-term commitment to OM.

Although the house deal was reported as “secretâ€, with confidentiality clauses preventing much specific information from emerging, residents in the area said that the couple was now frequently seen out and about in the neighborhood.
“We see them in the area, and in certain restaurants,†said one resident, speaking to . “Pamela doesn’t exactly hide.â€
Residents appeared mainly interested, but not surprised, at the actress’s arrival.
In fact, this is not the first time that the actress has focused on France; late last year she told The Connexion how much she “loved†the country, and, as an animal rights advocate and member of animal welfare group PETA, was pleased to see “how far the animal rights movement†had come in the nation.
“Vogue Paris just launched a fur-free issue and, instead of cruelly-produced foie gras, people are eating vegan joie gras and croissants sans beurre!†she said.
The high-end reputation of the specific area in Marseille also appears - unsurprisingly - to have attracted the couple.
“There are some beautiful, luxurious residences around here, for sure,†, referring to many of the larger houses in the hills, often surrounded by high walls and security cameras.
Most of them have stunning views towards the Mediterranean, and many also have private pools, with prices reaching into the millions of euros.
Also , a local estate agent, Dominique Puccinelli of Cabinet Lieutaud, said: “The Roucas-Blanc-Corniche sector is a state within the state. It is Marseille, without being Marseille! Very close to the centre, but far from the bustle and the noise.
“This is the most sought-after area right now,†he added, explaining that the city was popular due to its coastline but also proximity to facilities such as the international airport.
