Intermarché to open shop designed for older people
French supermarket group Intermarché is planning to open a new concept store dedicated to older shoppers, initially in Normandy.

The concept, which will be named “Bien Chez Moi”, will include a range of services and products designed especially to appeal to and help older people. The shop will also offer tips on healthy eating, help with administrative tasks, and even advice on home furnishing and design.
The Intermarché-Les Mousquetaires group has been working on the project for over a year, and hopes to launch in September, pending a “refinement” period.
Initially, a 200m2 area has been allocated for the new space, in the town of Flers (Orne, Normandy).
Seniors in the area were consulted on the project, and were asked to offer their opinions and ideas.
Clotilde His, development director of the Les Mousquetaires group, : “This shop will be a destination for active seniors. Today, we are looking to refine the concept with you, our loyal clients, by listening to your desires and expectations.”
