Association looking for volunteers to help transport animals in need to care centres

An animal welfare group is looking for volunteers to transport animals in southwest France.
The Aquitaine branch of the Ligue pour la protection des oiseaux (LPO) has issued a call for volunteers able to transport animals to its care centres in Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne.
Volunteers would be expected to help cover the following areas:
In Gironde (33): Blaye, Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Langon, Libourne.
In Dordogne (24): Périgueux, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Bergerac, Mussidan.
In Lot-et-Garonne (47): Marmande, Aiguillon, Nérac, Agen, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Montflanquin.
According to the association, the only requirement is that volunteers have their own vehicle that they can use to transport the animals.
Anyone interested should email benevolat.cds33@lpo.fr specifying which area they can cover and availability. Interested parties should be aware that, occasionally, the need for this kind of help comes at short notice.
