The wine was voted second best in the world and best ros茅 at the 鈥業nternational Wine Challenge鈥� in London in the value wines category. The jury described the wine as 鈥渞ich in summer fruits with refreshing acidity鈥�.

The ros茅 is produced in Carnoules in the Var region by Jules Wines. In an interview with 鈥�20minutes鈥�, the Anglo-Canadian winemaker Julian Faulkner said, 鈥淚 call it my Communist wine! It can compete in the luxury world, but it鈥檚 also an everyday product.鈥�

Faulkner targets a foreign market. 200,000 bottles are produced for the UK, where it is sold in Aldi for 拢5.99, and a further 200,000 bottles are sent to the US.
