Tax checks bring in 鈧�9bn to French treasury

Over 鈧�9billion was collected after extra tax checks were carried out on firms and individuals in 2019 鈥� up 16% on 2018.

Over half related to VAT, corporation tax, stamp duty or wealth tax. The total sum is equal to the budget of the Justice Ministry, the Prime Minister said.
