PAYE on pensions is a no-go
With the introduction of the new pay-as-you-go (PAYE) tax scheme in France from the beginning of 2019, how does the scheme intend to collect taxes from pension schemes based in the UK? G.A.

The PAYE scheme here in France only works with organisations that are capable of paying the French taxes that are collected to the tax office.
Accordingly, the scheme does not operate for UK income sources.
The tax office will probably instead place people on the monthly tax payment system but, from what we have seen so far, this is not being applied in a blanket manner to all foreigners so whether it will apply at all remains to be seen.
