鈥榃arm...hellish鈥�: Man鈥檚 funny police station review
A Lorraine man who spent the night in custody at a police station in Metz has posted a humorous review of his experience on Google Maps, saying 鈥渉e cannot wait to go back鈥�
The , was left by a user named Alexandre Chatelat, and reads as a satirical take on a normal hotel review, but for the H么tel de Police, on Rue Belle-Isle in Metz (Grand Est).
Despite leaving just one in five stars as his rating, Mr Chatelat put a rather positive spin on the rest of his night.
The review reads: 鈥淲elcoming and warm personnel, comfortable individual and group rooms...no complaints about the cleanliness; you could have eaten off the floor...鈥�
The review does hint at the real circumstances, but continues in a comedic tone: 鈥淚 had a hellish night鈥but] the meals were excellent, I have never had such good plastic lasagne.鈥�
Perhaps referring to his arrival at the station in a police car or an Uber, he added: 鈥淚 also appreciated the shuttle journey in a great vehicle, with a very kind and talkative driver.鈥�
The review ends: 鈥淥verall, I strongly recommend this establishment and cannot wait to go back.鈥�
The short comment has now been liked over 1,120 times on Google.
When contacted for a Le R茅publicain Lorrain, the police station replied, with equal humour: 鈥淲e welcome and greatly appreciate [this man鈥檚] satisfaction. But, as good things are often better when they are rare, we advise him to not repeat this experience.鈥�
Most of the other Google reviews of the station are sincere - with some thanking the police for their 鈥渂ravery and remarkable work鈥�, and others calling them 鈥渓azy and irresponsible鈥� 鈥渃owboys鈥� - but some other users have left similar 鈥渞eviews鈥� to Mr Chatelat.
One said the 鈥渂eds were very soft鈥� with 鈥渉elpful and very happy staff鈥�, while another said she recommended the station, because although 鈥渢hey only serve chicken鈥�, they do still 鈥渙ffer 24/7 service without prior reservation鈥�.
