‘Uncle Scrooge’ coins for sale for €500 plus
The Paris mint has released new coins and medals featuring Disney’s Uncle Scrooge characters to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first showing in France of the DuckTales television cartoon series, known as la Bande à Picsou (Picsou’s gang) in French.

The series depicts rich miser Picsou (Uncle Scrooge) and his relatives, including nephew Donald Duck.
Uncle Scrooge, who was known for having his own private bank where he hoards his gold, makes a suitable subject with Forbes estimating him to be worth $65bn!
The lower value coins, silver with coloured parts, are already sold out… Among those still available are a €50-denominated collector’s gold coin costing €505 or, if your bank balance is similar to Picsou’s you might consider a €500 one (pictured above) for a mere €10,658.
