Tracy Chevalier takes part in literary weekly talk
Author of the popular 鈥淕irl with a Pearl Earring鈥� novel, Tracy Chevalier, is to be a guest on the online Franco-British literary festival on Friday June 5.
The festival, Festilitt, proposes free weekly talks with authors via Zoom.
Tracy Chevalier will talk about her latest book, 鈥淎 Single Thread鈥� on Friday June 5 at 17:00.
Tracy Chevalier was born in the US but lives in the UK. She is best known for her second novel, 鈥淕irl with a Pearl Earring鈥�, which was adapted as a film starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth.
Her first book, 鈥淭he Virgin Blue鈥�, was based in France and the author has spent a lot of time in the south of France while writing it.
Her last book, 鈥淎 Single Thread鈥�, was published last year and takes the readers back to England just after the first world war.
Tracy Chevalier is one of the most popular contemporary novelists in both France and the UK.
Her book 鈥淕irl with a Pearl Earring鈥� has sold over 5million copies in the world.

On Friday May 29, Keggie Carew, who wrote Costa Biography winning first book 鈥淒adland鈥�, about her war hero father鈥檚 remarkable career in France and Burma during WWII, will be the guest of the online festival.
Lockdown Lit has been running throughout the Covid-19 crisis and has included authors Kate Mosse and Peter May.
