Local and regional TER services may be affected, but disruption is not set to be widespread on any line.
In and around the capital, RER lines B, C, D, and E will all see varying levels of disruption, as will regional services on the H, J, N, R, and U lines.

Those set to travel tomorrow are recommended to check if their journey will be impacted using the website, or local SNCF websites. If travelling internationally, check on the affiliated website (Eurostar, DeutscheBahn, etc).
December strike announced
The four major rail unions in France called the strike over plans by the SNCF to dismantle its main freight subsidiary into smaller companies, potentially paving the way for privatisation.
They also called the strikes over plans to open up local and regional rail lines to privatisation.

A second, unlimited strike has also been called by the unions from December 11 onwards.
This will affect travel over the Christmas period, although it is uncertain to what level services will be disrupted.
A period of strike action this long does not necessarily mean that workers will be on strike everyday, but that they have the option to strike on the days covered if they choose to do so.
Information on affected timetables is generally available 48 hours in advance when strike action is set to affect national rail routes.
