Stade Rennais football fan surprised by top player
A French football fan received a rather unusual surprise this week when one of his favourite players, Sanjin Prci膰, tapped him on the shoulder and offered to pay for his food.
Football fan and U15 football coach Florian Jan was queuing for a sausage pancake (galette-saucisse) after watching Stade Rennais win 2-1 against FC Nantes on Saturday, and was wearing his own replica football shirt with Prci膰鈥檚 name on the back, when he felt someone tap his shoulder and ask 鈥淎lright?鈥�, reported .
He turned around, and was astonished to see Prci膰 himself, walking through the crowds with his family, apparently unnoticed by fans.
The player, who is Franco-Bosnian and plays for Stade Rennais, then offered to pay for Jan鈥檚 snack (although ended up not paying anything, as Jan had already paid!).
He had tapped on Jan鈥檚 shoulder thanks to his wearing of the Prci膰 shirt, Prci膰 reportedly said, and was very happy to speak to a fan.
鈥淚 like to wear shirts of players that I identify with,鈥� said Jan, speaking to , explaining his lucky outfit of choice. 鈥淎nd Prci膰 is an elegant player who doesn鈥檛 mess around. [Prci膰 and I] discussed the tournament, and talked about his imminent trip to Angers. He was a really nice guy.鈥�
As well as an avid football fan, Jan is also a football coach for an Under-15 team at a club in Vignoc-H茅d茅-Guipel (Ille-et-Vilaine), and posted a photo of himself and Prci膰 on Twitter to celebrate the unusual moment.
