SNCF counter closures a backward step
Re: your article about train station counter closures (SNCF closes 900 counters in France) and whether readers buy tickets online or at station counters – the answer for me is both but I have found that an online search sometimes throws up hurdles and the information is not that good.
So I do a preliminary search online and then go to my local station, where the staff always try and get me the best deal possible. I hope they do not close that counter. Not everyone has a smartphone – and human contact is better!
