The Scottish government says travel corridors will for the most part be established from Friday with the same countries as those on England’s list, referring to lifting the requirement for a 14-day obligatory self-isolation for travellers arriving from these places.

The exceptions are Spain and Serbia, where the coronavirus is said to be much more prevalent than in Scotland.

Passengers arriving in Scotland from Friday will not have to self-isolate as long as they have not been to any ‘non-exempt’ countries in the previous 14 days.

They will however still have to complete a passenger locator form prior to travel, including contact details and the address where they will be staying.

The situation will be reviewed again on July 20.

The Welsh government and Northern Ireland executive have yet to formally announce travel corridors.
