The soup, named 鈥�velout茅 de potiron (cream of pumpkin)鈥�, is sold under the Liebig brand, by European group Continental Foods.

The recall concerns packs of the soup sold in 1 litre boxes, and those sold in packs of two litres (2 x 1 litre boxes). They are most often sold in Cora convenience stores.

According to , the batches concerned are those with the numbers J225 or J226, with the barcodes of 3036810350278 or 3036811357764, and a use-by date of 11/2020.

The report said: 鈥淸These products] should not be consumed, and should be taken back to the original point of sale for a refund or an exchange.鈥�

A helpline number has been set up for anyone wishing to find out more information about the recall, on 09 69 32 06 91.

Continental Foods is a European manufacturer, and employs around 1,000 people across Europe, including at two sites in France; one in Li茅vin (Pas-de-Calais) and another in Pontet (Vaucluse).
