Police nationale forces in Var and Bouches-du-Rh么ne have launched an appeal for witnesses following the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl in Marseille.

Thalya Aid has not been seen since January 23. Her mother lives in Marseille but she normally lives with her father in Hy猫res (Var).

She may be staying in Toulon or La Seyne-sur-Mer, the police said in a statement.

Thalya has 鈥渘orth African features鈥�, is 1m70 (about 5ft6) tall, slim and with brown hair.
