Paris park for naturists
A nude picnic marked the opening of the first naturist zone in Paris with about two dozen people meeting in a football-field sized clearing set aside for naturists in the Bois de Vincennes.

Run as a trial until October 15 by Paris mairie, it has met mixed reactions – some saying it was remaking Paris with bobo middle-class liberal ideals and others welcoming the open-mindedness.
A dog trainer had more practical concerns saying she had lost the use of a site to train her dogs, but Fédération Française de NatÂurisme vice-president Yves Leclerc said park by-laws banned this.
Mr Leclerc said they were “very enthusiastic†and there had been no bad reaction. “The Bois de Vincennes is big enough for everyone and it is a good sign of tolerance. It puts us on a par with Berlin, Munich and Barcelona – and, with the Roger Le Gall pool open three nights a week, this is a good addition. We want it to continue.â€
