After the storms of this evening, high temperatures in Provence and Corsica, reaching up to 40°C in Corsica, and an average of 34-38°C at the height of the day in Provence.

The rest of the country will not be as affected; with the north-west seeing minimums of around 13-15°C, and an average across the country of between 14-20°C.

The south west and the Massif Central regions will yet see temperatures of between 29-35°C, but Alsace, Charente and Brittany will be cooler, seeing between 19-29°C on average.

The ‘caniculaire’ (heatwave-like) conditions will come just 24 hours after storms hit everywhere from the Massif Central to Alsace, as Meteo France has today put 23 departments on orange storm alert.
