Limits do not cut pollution
Crit’Air stickers, and the reduction of the speed limit on rural roads to 80kph, are actually increasing pollution.
When they operate at below 35% full power diesels are notoriously inefficient.
Governments worldwide are increasingly reducing speed limits in the mistaken belief this reduces pollution, when, in fact, it means vehicles are now made to operate in their least efficient envelope –and so are actually increasing pollution.
Diesels become the bad boys, and the countryside will be subject to more pollution. Pollution control has not been properly researched or thought through. Put simply – you have been conned.
