Froome at heart of peloton, German Kittel wins stage
Chris Froome remained in the heart of the peloton for today’s Stage 10 of the Tour de France through the Dordogne – as our photograph by Simon Hanks from Salignac shows.

Froome is currently wearing the yellow jersey for the rider who has completed the stages so far in the least time.
Frenchmen Elie Gesbert and Yoann Offredo were ahead of the cyclists for most of the race and as they came through Montignac they were over four minutes in the lead.
However at the finish it was German Marcel Kittel, wearing the green jersey (for the rider with the most points from intermediate sprints and stage finishes) who came first.
Crowds lined the streets to wave the cyclists on, some had come from as far as Minnesota, USA.
