The list runs until 2022 and reproduces an existing list but the words have changed from 鈥渉armful animals鈥� to animals that 鈥渃ause damage鈥�.

Species vary across France but, as well as foxes, include martens, polecats, weasels, crows, jays, starlings and magpies.

The wildlife charity Aspas says it opposes a 鈥渉it list鈥� giving a generalised right to kill native species as it harms the balance of ecosystems.
