Dedicated traffic management camera system becomes fixture after successful trial
An experimental video-verbalisation system will be adopted permanently in one French city, officials have announced.
Strasbourg, capital of the Alsace, started a trial in late 2018 in which fines were issued to anyone caught on dedicated traffic management CCTV committing minor offences, such as illegal or inconsiderate parking or blocking bus or cycle lanes.
The trial has been such a success that it will now be implemented permanently, officials said.
