Brexit: French customs offers free webinar for businesses
An online session about preparing your firm for Brexit is being organised in English by the Douanes
The French Douanes service – customs – is offering a free English-language webinar on preparing your business for Brexit.
Called ‘Let’s cross Brexit together!’, the webinar event is on Thursday December 3 at 14.30 to 15:30 and if interested.
The Douanes service says it will explain issues including a new IT system it has developed called the smart border, aimed at keeping trade flowing between the UK and France despite the re-establishment of customs checks.
Officials will be explaining what it is and how to use it.
Brexit is expected to apply in full from January 1, 2021, including new border checks.
With talks still ongoing with one month left, it is still unknown if there will be further hurdles such as tariffs on goods.
