Local speciality: Anis de Flavigny
A traditional sweet from Burgundy
Flavigny Anises are hard aniseed sweets made in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, Burgundy.
Each is coated with sugar syrup and flavoured with violet, rose, mint, liquorice or orange.
Their origins lie in 719 at the hands of sweet-toothed Benedictine monks, while today a single producer, family business Troubat, makes them according to the original recipe.
