Paris speed limit could be capped at 30 km/h
The maximum speed limit across the whole of Paris could soon be just 30 km/h by 2020, if a project aiming to reduce pollution and noise goes ahead.

The project from the Mairie of Paris (town hall), is due to be voted on by the Conseil de Paris at the end of this month (September), as reported by .
If it goes ahead, the project will gradually spread “zones 30†areas across the capital by 2020, capping the limit at 30 km/h across central Paris, except for a designated network of major roads, on which the limit will remain at 50 km/h.
The project is also aiming to improve road safety, as well as reduce pollution and noise.
